Felin Wen - Holiday Cottage in Pembrokeshire
The farmhouse is available for holiday rentals all year and sleeps eight people. It is one of a group of buildings set in five acres (two hectares) of grounds bounded by the two streams which formerly powered the corn mill - Felin Wen (White Mill).
This is a pretty and secluded spot at the bottom of a valley, surrounded by fields and woodland, and with a great variety of birds and wildflowers - an ideal place for a relaxed and peaceful break. However, if you want some activity there is golf, fishing, boating, water sports and riding nearby. We have two National parks in Pembrokeshire so there is a huge variety of walks available. One park is round the spectacular coastline and is over a hundred miles long, and the other is in the Preseli Hills with prehistoric forts and burial grounds older than Stonehenge along its ridge walk.
There are many places to visit - castles, museums, gardens, old houses, a restored Iron Age village and a variety of craft workshops (pottery, slate carving, jewelry, wood working, etching, woollen mills etc.).

| The National Botanical Garden of Wales in Carmarthenshire, our next-door county, featues a dome which houses a beautiful Mediterranean garden, which is now well established and is bigger than the Mediterranean dome at the Eden project. Close to it are the gardens of Aberglasney which are being excavated by archaeologists. They have got back to the 17th century level. If you like looking for antiques there are several shops, and if you time it right, you might come when one of the big antiques fairs is being held at the Carmarthenshire county showground - three times a year. Young children love the small sandy coves, and the farms which take visitors, with tractor rides and animals for petting. Our five acres of streams, field and woodland provide an adventure playground for children and they usually end up in the stream building dams or something - so bring wellies! |

The house has 4 bedrooms -2 double, 2 twin - and 2 bathrooms. It has central heating and is very warm in the winter. The furnishings are a mixture of antique and modern. One of the twin bedrooms is a very large loft room with sloping ceilings and children love it as it makes a nice private playroom. There is a large farmhouse kitchen with gas stove, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a dining area, a sitting room with an open fireplace, and a south facing conservatory. We can supply a cot and high chair and there are lots of books and board games. Outside there is a small private garden with garden furniture and space to barbecue.
